Reincarnation

I have been here before

as a man waiting for execution

a pilgrim never to reach his destination

a stumbler who fell

It's the same every time we're reborn

the liar hoping folk would believe him

the lover seeking love but only getting sex

the priest who wants faith but only attains doubt

a one legged man without his crutch

It's the same every time we're reborn

but if the man stops before his execution

the pilgrim looks closely wherever he is on his journey

the stumbler in the moment before the fall

the liar when the words arise from his brain

the lover before he undresses

the priest who accepts all doubt in true faith

the one legged man standing tall

It's a miracle of momentary magic

here for all eternity

captured in universal liberation

and we are all perfect in this world
