I've got the monkey off my back
and it feels so good
no monkey there of course
and I've no back to speak of
only to write about
I'm spineless in a good way
the best way
the way that God has no spine
or oak trees have no spine
or air has no spine
but it sure feels good
to have that non-existent monkey
off my non-existent back
and I'm sure you'll have felt
the exact same way.
